Barnstable Man Pleads Guilty To Sexually Exploiting Two Girls Under 5: Feds

A Barnstable man admitted to sexually exploiting two children younger than 5 years old, federal authorities said.

Atticus Bernard, 22, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation and one charge of child pornography in federal court, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. He faces a minimum of 15 years in prison for each exploitation charge and up to 20 years for the child porn count.

Police allege he engaged in sexual contact with the children on separate occasions in November 2019 and October 2020 and had photos of it on his cell phone, federal authorities said. Police found those images during a search in January 2021.
